ALL THINGS TFACT

TFACT is Teach For America's version of Salesforce, a dynamic and powerful Constituent Relationship Management system used by many top companies and organization. The Recruitment Team houses all of our data in TFACT and it is our go-to system for tracking our efforts, evaluating our campaign position, and determining strategy. As a member of the Recruitment Team, it is expected that you take time to work through the TFACT 101 courses so that you are prepared to maximize this tool as you begin your campaign.

If you joined the Recruitment Team on August 1, you're good to go and you can log on to TFACT. If you have recently joined the RT, you need to request a TFACT account following the instructions below. Your account will be created in 1-3 days and you will receive an email from Tech Support with your log in information and a link to set your password. Once you've set your password, log on to TFACT via Okta.

After you successfully log on to TFACT, you can begin working through the TFACT 101 courses starting with this orientation video. Work with your manager to determine when trainings should be completed. After completing all courses, take the final TFACT check out quiz. Results will be shared with your manager.

TFACT + TECH FAQ

Q. Help! I don't know my username!

A. Your username is the same as Workday plus @teachforamerica.org. For example, kamcnamara@teachforamerica.org. This username is the same across all TFA apps (Workday, OKTA, TFACT).

Q.This is my first time logging on to TFA's systems - where do I start?

A. Go to teachforamerica.okta.com. You'll be prompted to log on with your Workday username and credentials and be asked to set a security question. Once you've done that, select "Do not challenge me on this device again". You will see Workday and TFACT apps in OKTA (be sure to bookmark!). Here is a step by step guide.

Q. I'm trying to get into TFACT but it's saying I need to use Single Sign on?

A. You can log on to TFACT in two ways - go to the OKTA site and click on the TFACT app, or use this direct link. The old login.salesforce.com link no longer works.

Q. I'm not sure if I have a TFACT account - who do I ask?

A. Email Won Hee!

Q. I'm locked out of OKTA. How do I reset my password?

A. Use the Password Reset.

Q. I'm getting an error message that says "Access Denied" when I try to log on to TFACT. What do I do?

A. Your TFACT account has been deactivated so you need to request a new account via Service Now.

Q. My manager says I need to do my TFACT trainings but I don't have access to TFACT yet. Can I still do the trainings?

A. No, you need to wait until you have TFACT access. Otherwise you won't be able to practice or take the quizzes.

Q. Where can I find TFACT resources to help me learn to use the system?

A. Go to the Resources page and click on TFACT.

Q. I have a question related to TFACT that isn't answered here and I've already searched the hub and asked my manager. Who should I contact?

A. Please email Won Hee. He'll respond within one business day. Do not contact Tech Support unless directed.
